Onyx Group is a Strategic Marketing Firm, based in Tallahassee. We are currently looking for a Public Relations intern.

The Public Relations Intern is responsible for developing public relations plans, including writing, conducting research, preparing materials, maintaining contacts and responding to inquiries. The position requires strong writing skills, excellent communication skills, and a good working knowledge of publicity and public relations skill sets.

Primary responsibilities:
·         Write, edit and distribute stories for Onyx Group and its clients.

·         Distributes publicity stories weekly to media, determined by the agency principals.
·         Prepares final drafts for client/agency speeches.
·         Coordinates company and client events.
·         “Tell the organization’s story” using all appropriate media and communication channels.

Looking for a diverse communications experience working for a top-notch team? Capital City Bank, headquartered in Tallahassee and with 71 offices in Florida, Georgia and Alabama, is looking for a detail-oriented junior or senior in a communications-related major to assist the marketing team this fall.

Assignments will support public relations, advertising, event planning, client experience efforts and both internal and external writing projects, allowing the candidate to gain exposure to many marketing elements under one roof. The student will participate in brainstorming sessions and build corporate experience in a publicly traded company which also takes pride in its community roots.

Florida Commerce Credit Union

Florida Commerce Credit Union is looking for an undergraduate intern to assist with day-to-day tasks and projects. This position will report to the Communications Specialist. Responsibilities include: event production assistance, writing articles for quarterly magazine, assist with digital media and web based communication, coordinating weekly membership mailings, and industry research. In addition, this position offers real life experience in advertising, project management, media buying/placement, and community/charitable interaction. There will be administrative functions, such as filing, data entry, collation and distribution of marketing materials.
