Vocational Rehabilitation

Vocational Rehabilitation is looking for a full or part time Communications Specialist. The position is 20-40 hours a week at $12.40/hour without benefits. The schedule is flexible and can be worked around their class schedule. Looking for someone who has a strong writing background and experience with interviewing, editing, media relations and other PR processes. Also looking for someone who will be able to stick around for at least a year. Art of the Catwalk

VISIT FLORIDA

VISIT FLORIDA’s Industry Relations department is seeking an intern for the Fall and Spring semester. Ideal candidates would be a sophomore or junior in college studying the fields of business or communications.

Industry Relations is responsible for the recruitment and retention tourism-based business throughout Florida. We coordinate educational networking events, presentations, tradeshows and one-on-one meetings for our Partners. Tools such as e-Newsletters, scheduled special sends and educational webinars are used to engage and retain our current Partner businesses.

Internship responsibilities would include:
·  Assist with published e-Newsletters
·  Provide support with educational webinars
·  Maintain database integrity
·  Prepare tradeshow collateral materials
·  Develop customer service skills

Seminole Futures Ambassador program

This year’s fall Seminole Futures career exhibition will be held at the new FSU Conference Center on Thursday, September 16 from 9:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-3:00pm. The Career Center is looking for student ambassadors to volunteer at the event.

Why Become a Career Center Student Ambassador?

To network with and get exposure to corporate recruiters, if you are not job-searching, to familiarize yourself with Seminole Futures early in your college career, to represent your student organization, to interact with other FSU students, and to help out the Career Center

What Are Career Center Student Ambassadors Needed to Do?

Escort corporate recruiters to and from their booths, check-in and hand out materials to job-seeking students, and distribute and collect student and corporate recruiter evaluations

Career Center Student Ambassador trainings will be held on September 7th from 4:30-6:30 at the Dunlap Success Center room 1006, and September 8th from 10:30-12:30 at the Dunlap Success Center, room 2201. 2-1-1 Big Bend

At 2-1-1 Big Bend, we run 24-hour, toll-free hotlines that people can call for crisis counseling, information, and referrals throughout the year. Our hotlines depend on volunteers for coverage, and we are seeking volunteers for our agency.

Previous experience is not needed to become a Volunteer Hotline Counselor with 2-1-1 Big Bend. We offer volunteers approximately 75 hours of free training in basic crisis counseling skills, specialized intervention techniques, and supervised experience. In return for this comprehensive, professional training, we ask for a 200-hour volunteer commitment. Volunteers who finish their commitment are eligible for numerous benefits including, but not limited to, work-study, course credit, internships, part-time paid employment, and letters of recommendation.
