As an intern in our Tallahassee office, you will be asked to perform a variety of tasks that are linked to our ability to deliver quality service to our clients. Over the course of the internship you will learn and familiarize yourself with writing press releases, opinion pieces and collateral material; handling media; clipping articles; providing administrative assistance; managing contact lists and mass mailings; and compiling press kits.
Interns are required to complete a minimum of 20 hours per week, during an 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. workday. Researching who in the 82 companies whose websites are referenced in my book would be the best person to contact asking them via a letter to link my book’s website to their website, and enclosing the pages from the book that include reference to them. Testing effectiveness of link requests.
PRESS KIT
Researching who in the Press—additional newspapers, magazines, radio and TV channels—would be the best to contact announcing the publication of my book and sending them a press release, bio, sell sheet and pitch letters. Testing the effectiveness of the kit.
Utilize Facebook (Going Green is Cheaper than You Think) and Twitter (GoGreenCheap) avenues of book promotion.
SOFT-WARE HELPS FOR PROMOTIONS
Learning the “slide-show” software to put a comic strip onto my website.
Learning the “flip-page” software to allow one chapter to be viewed on the website.

Create a story board for a video for my blog (Twist and Save) page and for CNN /Rachael/business success spot advertising my book.

Optimize website for search engine recognition and first page location of reference to website.
