Fall Internship Opportunities

July 23, 2010

BevShots

BevShots.com is a locally run e-commerce site that sells modern artwork and unique gifts based off of what different beverages look like when photographed under a microscope.  Word has spread rapidly around the world about our company as we have been featured in major media outlets like Time Magazine, ABC News, and the BBC.  With the press that we have received recently, we want to ramp up our PR campaign for the upcoming Christmas season to be featured on gift lists in major magazines, television shows, and websites… being featured on Oprah or the Today Show is a definite possibility!

We are looking for PR and marketing students who are interested in doing an unpaid internship for Fall 2010 to help run this PR campaign.  The ideal candidate is someone who is extremely motivated and hard-working, who can write content quickly and in a style that is similar to our website, and who has the persistence and courage to make pitches to major media.  Interns will be expected to dedicate a minimum of 15-20 hours per week.  Interns must also have a car to be able to meet with the rest of the BevShots team.  As an intern, you will gain real life experience with the implementation of BevShots’ PR and marketing strategy for the Christmas season.

We will bring on a couple several interns to work on the different projects below.  Please e-mail Lester Hutt at lester@bevshots.com if you are interested, and state which projects you would like to work on.

1) Media List: Researching and tracking the media contacts that we want to pursue this Christmas.

2) Press Releases: Writing up and releasing different press releases for the Christmas season.

3) Media Pitches: Calling and following up with media from our targeted list of media.

Music Lessons Express

Are you an entrepreneur at heart?  Do you have a passion for seeing the arts thrive?  Are you interested in developing a small business in your community?  Then we have an internship for YOU!

Music Lessons Express is thrilled to offer an internship to FSU students in the College of Communication!  We are confident that our internship will provide a valuable opportunity for you as you continue in this next step of your education.

MLE is looking for an intern who will bring a variety of skills and ideas to the table.  One of the benefits of working in a small business setting is that you work closely with the executive director to learn all aspects of the business.  However, we also recognize the importance for you, as an intern, to have the opportunity and responsibility to develop and carry out a specific goal or project.

Your time as an intern would be divided between two primary functions: program management and your choice of program expansion or program research (or both if interested).  Please review a more detailed job description on page 2 of this handout.

Music Lessons Express is now conducting interviews for intern positions for the 2010-11 school year.  If you are interested in more information or would like to schedule an interview, please contact Lindsey Benedict at 850-219-3653 or lindsey@musiclessonsexpress.com.
